UPDATED – 18TH AUG 2015

We are currently looking for new routes to ride on Saturday mornings. If you have any suggestions please email us with the route info or gpx file.

Getting out for a regular ride is the main reason we all love our bikes, and we’re not different!! What’s more, by being based in the middle of the stunning Cotswold countryside we couldn’t ask for better roads to get out and enjoy our favourite pastime. Performance Cycles organise regular rides, every Saturday morning, from our base here in Poulton (GL7 5HY). With tea and coffee waiting for us when we get back!!

SATURDAY RIDES:

The weekly Saturday rides start from the shop at 9am and last for a couple of hours, covering 30 (ish) miles. All riders of all abilities are welcome and we’ll split the groups down depending on who is out. We split into three groups (fast / intermediate / slow) with each group doing a variation of the same route. Where possible a member of Performance Cycles staff will ‘lead’ each group, with the slower group always being looked after by a staff member (HUGE thanks to our regular club members that often lead the intermediate and/or faster groups).

We make every effort not to leave riders behind (especially in the slow group) but please be aware it is the sole responsibility of the individual riding to be self-sufficient in the event of a breakdown, and also to know your way home should you get distanced from the group. Whilst we actively encourage riders of all abilities to join us please don’t be offended if you get left behind towards the end of the ride (for many this is their only ‘proper’ ride of the week!!) hang on in there and you’ll soon be finishing the ride at the front of the group.

If you fancy coming along, just turn up at Performance Cycles, there is a quick pre-ride brief each week were the group leaders are introduced. We’re sure some riders will drive out and join us while others will ride out and incorporate the social ride into a longer training ride of their own. Details of the routes, and links to downloadable gps files are available below…

Winter sportive Series
Winter is unfortunately on its way – and we all know that as the weather gets worse it gets harder and harder to get yourself out for those all important winter miles. So we’ve put together a series of six ‘mini-Sportives’ to take us through the winter – with one event a month taking place in October, November, December, January, February and March.

The first of the Winter sportive Series will take place on Sunday 23rd October and more information will be available shortly on the rest of the Series. Pre-entry will be available online HERE and will cost £9.50.
