Grant Bayton leads Ride 24/7 to a league podium whitewash….

Grant Bayton (Ride 24/7) has won the overall honours of the 2014 Cotswold League – even though he missed the final round in Cricklade (which he had to sit out as organiser). Grant completed the five rounds he needed to give him maximum chance of winning (it’s only your best five rounds that count to your overall points tally), eventually winning by an eight point margin from team mate Joe Barry – who jumped from 6th to 2nd overall after the final round.

Completing the podium was Mark Perry (with 291 point) giving Ride 24/7 a one-two-three in the 2014 overall standings.

League newcomers Radeon Cycle Coaching brought home the best of the rest with Ross Evans finishing in 4th place.

The 2014 Cotswold League is by far the best yet, with the level of competition increasing year on year – both on the road, and also for places (!!) with all events heavily over-subscribed well before the closing dates.

2015 is looking like it will be another jump forward for the Cotswold League – so if you are a member of a club not yet organising a Cotswold League event, and you would like to know how to get involved please contact sales@performancecycles.co.uk for details. We’re also hoping to introduce a Women’s Cotswold League for the first time ever in 2015, so watch this space for more details.
