Social Rides
Getting out for a regular ride is the main reason we all love our bikes,
and we're not different!! What's more, by being based in the middle of
the stunning Cotswold countryside we couldn't ask for better roads to
get out and enjoy our favourite pastime. Performance Cycles organise regular
rides, every Saturday morning, from our base here in Poulton (GL7 5HY).
With tea and coffee waiting for us when we get back!!
The rides will start at 9am, and last for a couple of hours, covering
30 (ish) miles. We'll plan different routes to keep you entertained -
details of routes are below, so you can either download it to your GPS
unit, or if you prefer you can meet us out on the route. The idea of the
rides is to combine a social ride with a bit of training, therefore the
pace is a bit quicker than on a standard club ride (but it isn't a dawdle
either!!) - and we'll make sure no-one gets left behind. The rides are
now split into two groups to cater for different abilities, with the slower
group often splitting in two half way round to help develop riders into
the quicker group.
Below you'll find a map / details of the shorter route for
the slower group - the faster group will be going wherever Mr Wilcox fancies
when he gets up on Saturday morning!!
If you fancy coming along, just turn up at Performance
Cycles and we'll introduce you to the ride leader. We're sure some riders
will drive out and join us (we've got plenty of parking) while others
will ride out and incorporate the social ride into a longer training ride
of their own.
Our Satuday rides are part of the regular rides organised by Performance
Cycles CC - an all-new type of cycling club. With discounts in-store,
loads of free kit and great future offers it's something not to be missed.
